The assembly of the bike was not complicated and any issues I had were adequately addressed in the Keiser assembly video. The over all quality of the bike is excellent with one exception. I do not believe the SPD cleat side of the new peddle is as secure as your previous peddle. Putting aside the design flaw with the tension screw that caused your customer service representative to tell me that the tension is not adjustable due to the possibility of rotating the adjustment screw too far
which could cause the tension spring to become detached, I am having an issue with minor SPD cleat movement in one peddle when it is under high load. I am still trying to address this issue by adjusting the tension. I have used your previous peddle at a gym and have not had this issue.

The tension spring can be adjusted, we just recommend caution as it is possible to unseat the screw and if so, it cannot be reattached outside of our factory. It's a worst-case scenario, like stripping a screw. Possible, but avoidable.

Sturdy, quiet, smooth ride

Installation was straightforward. So far so good. Smooth and quiet ride. Mike at Keiser was responsive. Not certain why the pedals come standard with SPD and not SPD SL clips as most road bikes. So I have to buy a separate pair of shoes for indoor cycling. Mike at Keiser was great.

Happy to be of service! We use SPD because a lot of spin studios use these. If you prefer though, you can change the pedals to something you prefer, as long as it fits on a standard road bike.
