Had my heart set on getting a Peloton from the first commercial I ever saw for it. Fast forward to now, when I was ready to actually invest in an indoor bike. I did TONS of research on the high end bikes and ultimately decided the Keiser M3i would actually be the best bike. I could not have been more correct! This bike is absolutely a dream come true! Yes it is expensive, but this is a professional level bike. It comes in under the Peloton, and you get more for your money. I did contact the company by phone several times. I was delighted to have a live human answer the phone each time. And the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. I also spoke with Mike directly, and he helped make this purchase experience top notch. I know this company does a large volume of business, yet they make you feel like you are dealing with your own small town family-owned business, and you are the most important customer on the planet! I did research this company as well as the bike, and it is very highly rated by customers and top reviewers alike, and it also has an A+ BBB rating as well. The bike comes incredibly well-packaged, so no matter how rough it is treated in shipping, the bike is pristine out of the package. It was relatively easy to put together, took less than an hour. It is a very high quality bike, so I believe it will last as long as I want to use it and beyond! And yes, I USE it! The ride is so sweet. The reviews saying it is whisper quiet are spot on! It makes NO noise, even when you are cranking up the resistance and the speed. The blue tooth computer works flawlessly, as does the heart rate monitor — which is spot on with the heart rate monitor I have on my iwatch! I did get the converter, but I haven’t set that up yet so I can’t review it at this time. I do want to add — as ridiculous as this may sound — that the sweat towel that comes with the bike is the nicest sweat towel I have ever used! It’s just another thing that Keiser did right to produce an outstanding total package! To top it all off, the bike is just plain beautiful, which is especially nice since I have it in my living room! All in all, I am absolutely thrilled with my decision to go with the Keiser M3i indoor bike. I highly, highly recommend this company and the Keiser M3i bike!

Solid bike, but....

Purchased a used one on craigslist with 9000 miles on it. Although I read that these were almost silent, mine had a whining noise. I never owned one before so I sent a video in to tech support. They said it was normal for a bike with that much milage and that it could be the bearings, but was fine for now. Well, after a few weeks, I decided to buy a brand new one from Keiser so it would be quieter and I would not have to worry about any issues. Well, the new one has the exact same sound...EXACT. Again - sent a video of the NEW bike to Tech support and they said it was NORMAL and that it was just a new belt sound. My guess is that it is fine...But, I did not really appreciate two very different answers (BEARINGS on a used VS. BELT...

After speaking with our service team and reviewing the videos I see what happened here:
- With regards to the whirring noise, the cycle in your video was backed into a corner which funnels the sound and makes it seem much louder, like speaking into a megaphone. Overall the cycle is very quiet though it does have some belt noise which can seem worse depending on where you place the cycle.
- As for the different responses, they were trying to communicate that both cycles were making "normal" sound all things considered, the belt, the age, the placement, etc. While both answers were correct, it would have been more helpful to explain the importance of the location of the cycle when gauging noise level. We will definitely be sure to make this clear in future.

This bike is even better with the new upgrades and I can use any number of apps on demand, not restricted to just one. I did a lot, I mean a lot, of research on which indoor bike was the best. I ended up waffling between the Keiser and the Peloton and I'm so glad I went with Keiser! The quality, flexibility and durability of this machine is top notch and I can tell will last me for many years to come. The game changer however is the Bluetooth Converter that allows you to transfer power readings to online apps such as Zwift. Although not the complete experience you would get from a smart trainer, it is easy to quickly adapt to simply increasing or decreasing resistence in the game to mirror the activities of a smart trainer. The one downside, is that heart rate is not compatible with Zwift as the monitor connects to the Keiser computer and therefore will not also connect to the Zwift app. ...

Buy a Keiser!

That's a great point, I'll be sure to pass that to our software team! In the meantime, a Polar monitor that uses the GymLink frequency and Bluetooth will be able to pair with Zwift and the cycling computer.
