The assembly of the bike was not complicated and any issues I had were adequately addressed in the Keiser assembly video. The over all quality of the bike is excellent with one exception. I do not believe the SPD cleat side of the new peddle is as secure as your previous peddle. Putting aside the design flaw with the tension screw that caused your customer service representative to tell me that the tension is not adjustable due to the possibility of rotating the adjustment screw too far
which could cause the tension spring to become detached, I am having an issue with minor SPD cleat movement in one peddle when it is under high load. I am still trying to address this issue by adjusting the tension. I have used your previous peddle at a gym and have not had this issue.

Keiser Responded:

George,

The tension spring can be adjusted, we just recommend caution as it is possible to unseat the screw and if so, it cannot be reattached outside of our factory. It's a worst-case scenario, like stripping a screw. Possible, but avoidable.

I'll have our service team reach out to you to assist with this further.

Thank you,

Installation was straightforward. So far so good. Smooth and quiet ride. Mike at Keiser was responsive. Not certain why the pedals come standard with SPD and not SPD SL clips as most road bikes. So I have to buy a separate pair of shoes for indoor cycling. Mike at Keiser was great.
Thanks.

Keiser Responded:

Hey RS,

Happy to be of service! We use SPD because a lot of spin studios use these. If you prefer though, you can change the pedals to something you prefer, as long as it fits on a standard road bike.

Thanks again!

Glad I purchased it

VERIFIED PURCHASE
Very easy to set up. Works like an expensive watch. Very smooth and quite. The SPD clips work well but a little difficult to clip into.

Support sucks

VERIFIED PURCHASE
This is a great bike. However, if they ship you one with problems, you are own your own. Trying to ship the bike back for a refund after it has been already assembled is almost impossible. When you contact their support department, you will be asked to email them a video of the problem. Then, they will either deny that there is a problem or will blame it on something completely unrelated. It's like they absolutely do not want to send out a technician, despite you paying over 2000 dollars for this bike. After having my bike for 3 months, I started to notice a clicking inside the bike. The support rep kept blaming my pedals. I took the bike apart, and lo and behold, there was a piece of loose rubber inside that was stuck to the bearing, which was causing the clicking sensation. I removed the piece of...

I removed the piece of rubber, and bike was good again. This is an excellent bike, but you're taking a huge risk if it comes defective or breaks down in the future, as support for it is dismal. You're better off getting a bike through a company that provides better support, especially if you are going to drop 2 grands on a spin bike.

Keiser Responded:

Hello Khai,

I'm very sorry to hear you had so much difficulty in getting the cycle in perfect working order. When attempting to diagnose a problem we try the easy solutions first, where they are possible, before sending out a technician. This rules out anything easy while allowing us to prepare our technician with a potential diagnosis. A click on every rotation is typical of a pedal issue; we check straps first, then end caps and SPD clips. From there, we have a more narrow focus on what could become the problem. There isn't much that can go wrong with a Keiser cycle, these troubleshooting sessions more often then not end with a very simple solution.

In your case, I see that you fixed the problem on the same day that you spoke to our service department! Though I wish it could have happened differently, I applaud your...
