We could not be happier with our new M3i! It is solid, smooth, quiet, and was easy to assemble. Ergonomically it is comfortable and easy to adjust between users. The RPM and heart rate displays are critical for doing virtual workouts, and the book/device holder is extremely convenient. This is a fantastic product and well worth the investment to get quality from the beginning.

What I expected

The bike is well made and is obviously meant for heavy use. Fairly straightforward assembly. Maybe add some sort of clicks in the resistance adjustment? It's a bit difficult to home in on a target number on the fly as is.

Bad Crank bearing

Upon initial install, I noticed that we had a bad crank bearing which mad noise when rotated. Provided customer service with video and they confirmed my assessment. Keiser immediately sent replacement parts for service but has been unable to schedule labor for almost 2 weeks now and unless I send a note, there is no continuing dialog. The bike has been here 3 weeks and we are unable to enjoy it. We’ll see if the bill comes on time!

I'm sorry about that, we received your original email on 06/06 and shipped parts on 06/09 after reviewing the video you sent over. It was a bit more difficult than usual to coordinate the installation but we did receive confirmation a few days after your submission of this review that the appointment was scheduled.
Though I would have preferred to have received word of your difficulty a different way, thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Simply the best bike on the market

Covid-19 = no daily spin classes for me. The Keiser M3i was the bike I rode at the gym, and loved. Wanting to replicate the interactive & competitive spin classes I had at the gym, I researched many bikes, including Echalon, Pelaton & Nordic Track s22i. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I got sucked into the hype of the interactive bikes, and bought a Nordic Track S22i. Other than the giant screen and handle bars being wobbly, I did enjoy the bike for the two days I was able to ride it without issues. After that, the bike decided to shut itself off intermittently during rides, and on the third day the left pedal broke off, due to poor construction, and I was instructed that I would need to order and install a whole new crank shaft. I immediately purchased the tried & true Keiser M3i & now a month later, I couldn't be happier. The setup was seamless & simple. This bike looks sleek, and has a small footprint in my bedroom. A 3 x 5 equipment mat is more than enough protection under the bike. I can use whichever biking app I want to ride along with, or just log my 20 mile ride while watching Netflix on my big flat screen tv - much better than a wobbly screen attached to the front of the bike. So, my advice is NOT to buy into the hype of the interactive bikes. Flashy bells & whistles unfortunately tend to break, and technology which seems state-of-the-art today, won't be tomorrow. This bike is beautifully silent, doesn't require electricity, accurate and simply a joy to ride. With its solid and well-thought out construction, the Keiser will give you a phenomenal workout today and through many tomorrows.

I am absolutely in love with this bike. I did extensive research to compare this bike to the Peloton, and finally decided to go this route because of the design (gorgeous), lack of outlet needed (since the M3i doesn’t have a screen like the peloton), and quality of construction (made in USA!)
I’ve been using this bike everyday with the Peloton app cast to my TV, and it’s almost perfect. There are some downsides if you want the “Peloton experience”, though. When cast to a TV, only the video shows up, not the stats (cadence, heart rate, etc.)...you have to still view that on your phone. You also can’t “compete” with other riders because you’re not in the leaderboard. However, none of this was enough to sway me to get the Peloton.
