Great for building cycling fitness

VERIFIED PURCHASE
Solid, well built product. Action is smooth and quiet. The saddle that comes with it, I replaced immediately with the same saddle as my road bike. I also installed my Shimano pedals versus the stock pedals. I can almost recreate the same riding position as my road bike. The Keiser App is ok, it is a good foundation from which you can build your own routes. It has been about 3 weeks and I am happy with the purchase thus far. I say great for building cycling fitness as I feel this bike recreates the feeling of being out riding, seeing the Peloton and Echelon, I would say they are good for overall cardio fitness, but not necessarily cycling fitness. I would put Keiser in with the likes of Wahoo.

super high quality

You get what you pay for is what I want to say about this bike. The bike is well made and well designed. It was expensive, but it should last a long time. So glad I bought this bike. My wife is about 5'1" and I am 6'. We can adjust the bike to fit well without any issues. Thanks for the Vee shape design.

Excellent product

VERIFIED PURCHASE
This is my first indoor bike and so I did a significant amount of research prior to purchase. So far, the bike has been excellent. Relatively easy to assemble provided that the required tools are on hand. Very quiet operation and small footprint. The bike arrived miscalibrated but customer support was very responsive and told me how to recalibrate the computer, which I did without any problems.

I do wish the onboard computer is able to connect to external fitness/cycling apps without the Mconverter, however the converter does work just fine for me.

Overall, excellent product

Worth It

VERIFIED PURCHASE
I’ve been spinning for 10+ years. My workhorse bike is the Keiser M3 at my local gym. I’ve also spun on bikes around the world, including Schwinn and Peloton. Based on my overall experience, I rank Keiser highest.

When Coronavirus hit, I decided against buying a bike and figured that the world would relax fairly quickly. That changed about a month ago. So I decided to buy an M3i and spin at home.

The bike itself is as advertised. Solid, smooth shifting, unpretentious. No grabbing during pedal rotation. Quiet. Handlebar design and height-front/back adjustments are fine and more sophisticated than M3.

I have started tracking session duration and distance with Strava/M Series app/M Series converter. Converter worth the expense because it also allows M3i to work with other apps.

Two additional comments. ...

Two additional comments. First, Keiser needs better documentation on how to get the M3i to work with Strava and other apps. There’s lots of misinformation on the Web that Keiser doesn’t work well with other apps. The converter solves the problem for me. Second, assembly is straightforward, especially with the optional toolkit. All the parts were there. The problem is documentation. I did like the video. However, it differs from the written instructions in some important places (e.g., protecting the wheel with paper) are not in the video.

Keiser responded:

Super helpful, thanks DaveK. I'll take a closer look at that video, it may be time for an upgrade of some variety!

Best,

The Best Spin Bike

VERIFIED PURCHASE
I had been riding Keiser spin bikes for close to 10 years at the Berkeley YMCA. Then COVID-19 hit. We had to drop our Y membership in order to self-quarantine effectively. I tried unsuccessfully to find a used Keiser, and finally decided to purchase a new M3i. The machine arrived in one large box, partially assembled. Keiser provided a complete toolkit for the assembly at a discounted rate, plus options for finding local mechanics (just in case). Tip: if you decide to use a mechanic, don't try to assemble it first. Assembly went smoothly, and I was able to take my first ride right after that. Bottom line, this is a superbly designed machine. In our opinion, it is a piece of artwork. Since beginning my workouts just a few weeks ago now, my health has improved significantly. Weight has dropped. I walk differently, and have much better posture generally....

In our opinion, it is a piece of artwork. Since beginning my workouts just a few weeks ago now, my health has improved significantly. Weight has dropped. I walk differently, and have much better posture generally. My breathing is much smoother, my stamina has increased. And thanks to the included POLAR heart monitor, I can track my recovery rates accurately on a daily basis. These have improved dramatically. I have more energy every day, and have gone from segmented and fractured sleep patterns of 5-6 hours per night to a healthy 8+ hours. I have been able to reduce pain and sleep medications significantly, and have a LOT more energy every day. The M3I offers connectivity to a wide variety of apps with interactive participation, including via AppleTV and YouTube, thanks to built-in bluetooth capabilities, plus an optional adapter, which opens access to proprietary subscription programs like Peloton, The Sufferfest, and more. I am delighted to have my own M3I. It is really worth having our own brand new unit, and we look forward to many years of health, energy and life. Thanks Keiser!

Amazing Workout With Some Minor Flaws

VERIFIED PURCHASE
The M3i is exceeding all of my expectations in my first several months of ownership. Overall, the cycle has performed well. It is quiet, precise and easy to maintain. The design work that went into this cycle is evident. A few complaints, albeit all minor. Sometimes the handlebars are not as rigidly connected as I hope - this is more of a minor annoyance than anything. It requires adjustment. Additionally, I wish that the reading tray was a bit larger - I usually cycle with my iPad on the tray. If the tray was about 2 inches longer on the horizontal, it would be perfect for accommodating a tablet positioned horizontally.
BTW, I called customer service right after I built my bike with a question - Keiser personnel could not have been more helpful and responsive. This is a very well run company.

Keiser responded:

Thanks for the feedback David!

The media tray actually supports any size tablet thanks to the way the tray is designed but it's true that larger tablets don't fit inside as well. Did you get your handlebars checked out with our service team?

Thank you!
