Pros and Cons

The pros: quiet, looks great, comfortable to ride, easy to set up and customer service responds quickly
The con: The stats on the display are completely off and totally useless. It is frustrating to the point that I wish I could replace this bike with something else. I could have just replaced my trainer for some fraction of the cost of this bike and had accurate, useful training information. Disappointed in my purchase.

I reviewed your service ticket, I'm sorry to hear of your frustration. It sounds like it's the odometer that was bothersome, distance tracking on the M3 is different than on the M3i, some context might help.

There's technically not a direct correlation between mileage on an indoor cycle and mileage on an outdoor cycle. It's not as simple as taking the flywheel circumference or looking at the exercise timing or pedal speed due to outdoor terrain, wind drag, incline, weather, etc. That being said, we do make our best effort to provide meaningful distance on the M3i through wattage calculation and a few baseline assumptions.

The M3 computer tracks "distance" strictly using pedal stroke count, and this is both to provide a target to try to beat for your personal motivation as well as a handy tool for diagnoses.

I am an old bike racer, my local gym has about 40 Keiser M3 bikes used in spin classes and open exercise. In four years of going daily to the gym I have never seen one of these bikes broken. No one seems to maintain them but they all work.
So when the virus drove me out of the gym I bought a Keiser M3i.
It was delivered as promised, came well packed, assembled easily. Best of all it rides like a bike. I am sure it will out live me.

Alarming Noise

Ordering, delivery, and assembly went smoothly. However, after about two hours of use the M3i started making an intermittent metallic clacking noise. I contacted customer support who asked that I send them a video recording of the bike when it's making the noise. Hope this gets resolved promptly.
