Solid, sturdy, easy to assemble. So far so good!

The bike is really well-built and solid. We've had a few other bikes through the years, and this is a major step up in overall build quality. It's relatively easy to assemble (only caveat: it was wrapped in about 1000 feet of plastic wrap. Good to keep it from getting scratched, huge pain to unwrap). The toolkit isn't absolutely necessary, but it has a few key tools that are very helpful in getting the bike built.

Riding is stable and quiet, and the tension adjustment is responsive and has a wide range. The magnetic tension is really smooth. Adjustments to the seat and handlebars are easy, and there's plenty of adjustment range, so it's easy for multiple people to use. The pedals are nice and solid, too, and I like the two-sided setup (so that you can use SPD shoes, or...

It wasn't too hard to set up the Keiser app and start tracking workout stats.

Works well may have a rub spot

Easy to assemble, had an issue with the display but the customer service helped me fix it, something seems to be rubbing on the wheel somewhere but I cannot seem to find it

Keiser responded:

Hey Dan,

If you can send us a video of the sound that will help our service guys determine what the issue might be. Videos help us a lot when the issue is a noise.

Thank you!

Excellent bike, well built, easy to assemble

Very satisfied. Beautiful looking bike, solid/heavy build and as others have mentioned, very quiet.

The box arrived ~10 days after I placed the order...longer than I thought. Getting it to be basement took some work.

Assembly was easy as instructions are quite precise. It took about 90 mins, but that's because I took my time doing it. A second pair of hands would have helped in going faster, but not needed.

The flywheel has a highly polished surface and will scratch easily. I managed to put a small scratch in it. Hard to see, but will gnaw at me, because I know it's there. Be careful with the hex wrench near the flywheel.

Will need to play with the seat and handle bar adjustments to make sure I am fully comfortable while seated on the bike...almost there, but...

I like the fact that this doesn't have a screen attached. I have a TV in my workout room and stream podcasts during workouts. Perfect scenario for me.

The data computer/interface is simple, and adequate for the workout information needed. Maybe downstream I'll need more information, but seems good for now.

The simplicity of the design and heavy built indicates this will last a couple of decades at least, without obsolesce which is very likely with other brands that come with a lot of computing attached.

Very satisfied.

Love it!

I researched all kinds of indoor bikes. I emailed questions back and forth with Keiser and they were always quick to respond. I decided on the Keiser and absolutely love it!! I can use it with whatever APP I’m in the mood for - or none at all - It’s whisper quiet and I can do my workout at 4am while everyone is sleeping.
Delivery was quick and the tool kit was included. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble.
If you are considering purchasing the Keiser M3i - get it! You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic, durable, and adjustable

There's an old saying: "When you pay for quality, you only cry once." Oh, how I wish I would have gone with the Keiser for our first bike. But balking at the higher price point, our family purchased and wore out two other more "economical" bikes in our home gym within a span of three years. The headaches and money we could have saved!

Our needs are simple--a sturdy bike that we could adjust to fit the four members of our family. We all use it differently. One with an app, another while watching TV, etc. Finally chose a Keiser, which was the brand/model that our city recreation department has used for years. The design is sleek, the seat and handlebars adjust up/down and fore/aft to give a custom fit, and it's easy to move around since it doesn't need to be plugged in to work. The computer...

Quality Product, Quality Customer Support

I've used an indoor bike as part of my gym routine for years, mostly to warm up or cool down after my workouts. Most of my cardio came from treadmill work, due in part to habit but also because of knee issues when running outdoors.

With the pandemic and resultant months-long gym closures, I made the mistake of resorting to road running to get my cardio in, all at the cost of knee damage to the point of (now) not being able to run on a treadmill. With the gym reopening, I elected to try an elliptical, but that seemed to bother my lower back. I guess it's not for everyone. So, I decided to revisit or repurpose my time on the gym (non-Keiser) bike, which came me a great cardio workout, but just wasn't very comfortable, and quite frankly, big and clunky.

So, with an eye to getting a bike that fit both me and my needs, I started my research, with the following as my "likes":
- I wanted workhorse, since I have no interest in buying to replace due to poor performance or quality
- I wanted something completely adjustable so that I could get comfortable for the longer rides
- I wanted a bike that I could use without plugging into an electrical outlet
- I wanted a bike. Not a bike tethered to a TV screen or subscription. Just a bike.
- I wanted to buy from a company that stands behind their products, with a great warranty and superior support.

So, given these criteria, I embarked on my research and landed on the Keiser M3i. Referring to the above:
- This bike is a workhorse. It's in many gyms and homes. There's a reason that this bike gets hours a day of use, day after day, in a cross-fit and gym environment. It is rock solid and doesn't move, rattle, vibrate, or, well, anything. No matter what I throw at it, it's essentially silent and incredibly stable. The bike it built like a tank with mostly metal components, and high quality other materials. Nothing feels flimsy. With the magnetic resistance technology, there's contactless moving parts except for the belt system. Almost nothing on the equipment to wear out.
- The bike is adjustable in both lateral and vertical directions for both the seat and the handlebars. The handlebar geometry has lots of options for hand and forearm positions. Let's face it - there are very few biker riders out there with the exact same physical proportions. I've found the perfect configuration for my needs. Highly configurable.
- The unit is freestanding and just needs batteries for the monitor to power on, etc. I don't want to be tied to a wall outlet, or in need of power, to ride. I can roll this out onto my patio if needed. No limits.
- As most of you probably have determined, this is an indoor bike, period. No TV screens or subscriptions, no gimmicks and requirements to ride. There's no big screen to fail in a couple years, or months. There's a simple yet highly informative monitor, which can be connected via bluetooth to other apps. Clearly, Keiser has invested their R&D dollars in the design and quality of the bike, and not other peripheral components. I can do all I need with the bike as-is, or I can add an app and whatever screen I would care to use, and still have what I consider to be the better or best bike out there. I found it interesting that in my reviews of this bike versus others, the advantages of the M3i were bike centric, whereas the advantages of some of the competitors were interactive- and subscription access-centric.
- Keiser's warranty is great, and their support (as noted below), is fantastic. Read other reviews (of customers and others) and you'll quickly conclude that Keiser is a reliable and responsive company.

My experience:
From the sale to the order and receipt of the product, Keiser was informative about the order details, status of shipment, preparation for assembly, and follow-up. My shipment came in a severely damaged box, thanks to the shipping carrier. Keiser double-boxed the unit, so the internal box was in much better shape, but still damaged. In my case, the shipping company seemed to have dropped the box and snapped the wooden mounting base, which resulted in wood chips falling out of the box and into the various parts.

After assembly (which was easy with the Keiser tool kit and reference video/instructions), I noticed a rubbing sound on what was supposed to be an essentially silent drivetrain. I contacted customer support and they said they would work through my concerns to correct, up to and including replacement if necessary. They described what to look for and sent me detailed pictures for visual reference. As it turns out, the rubbing sound came from pieces of wood from the shipping base, which had found their way into the crank housing. Problem solved.

So, after a few weeks with my M3i, I can say my only problem is trying to walk past it without wanting to jump on it for a ride. It is sleek, solid, silent, reliable, and will continue to help me with my fitness goals for the foreseeable future. Great job, Keiser!

Middle age Dad’s new toy

Love being able to fit in a workout anytime I have a few minutes. The range of resistance is good and it’s nice to be able to dial in the small changes. Have been using for Zwift and looking forward to exploring this on many new apps in the coming years.
