Excellent Bike- extras suck!

I got a new bike for my Birthday! So excited! In addition it came with an H1 sensor strap and a 3 month prescription to BKool. I already subscribe to CycleCast as I don’t really care to watch something while I am riding, but nice to have so motivation in my ear. And Pelotan is just to expensive. Even with a brand new computer and laptop both meeting compatibility requirements, the BKOOL simulator app won’t work. I have iPhone so that is a no go and I have kindles and not iPads so still a no go. So that 3 month free subscription is a waste of time! Then you have the H1 polar chest strap sensor that connects to bike just fine! But won’t connect to phone or polar app and customer service is helpless. I will stick...

So Bike excellent, extras not so much, if you have time for frustration electronics then gave at it! I just wanna spin! If I was rating the bike it would be 5 stars!!

Hi Spinaway,

I have some good news for you! Some background on the trouble with the BKOOL app, Microsoft pushed a software update to all laptops with Windows 10 and BKOOL was a little slow to catch up. They've since corrected the problem, and any laptop running Windows 10 will connect to BKOOL with no trouble!

As for your heart rate monitor, you can get heart rate data on your iPhone with our Keiser M Series app! The app is specifically designed to work with the M3i and allows you to track and download all of your cycling data, heart rate included. There are also guided cycling sessions, FTP tests and the app basically turns your phone into a second computer for the bike.

If you had any questions or concerns you can also hit me up at the number below.

Thank you!

An Engineering Sculpture

We live right on a 60 mile bike trail, where we ride 50-100 miles a week, 8 months of the year. Over the past 20 years we have purchased and sold multiple trainers and rollers. The trainers were too hard to adjust resistance on and although I could ride for 60 minutes on the rollers, my skill level did not allow me to get out of the saddle.

This year we decided to add a Kesier bike to our small basment workout area, right next to our Pliates Reformer and TRX straps. We had a monitor so we could access Pilates Anytime on our apple TV and decided to add a second monitor with an HDMI Spliiter (not switcher) to our apple TV to help with Pilates and also be available for the bike.

Next we added a sound bar and subwoofer to...

Next we added a sound bar and subwoofer to the bike monitor and a floor fan and we mirror a bike workout app on the monitor through apple TV with great heart pumping music from the workout app. It is truly addictive. Now we can workout when we want to and it is only a 30 second trip from upstairs.

We had looked at other bikes, but none could match the attention to detail and we figured if these bikes could hold up to three classes a day 7 days a week, 365 days a year at a gym, it would last us years......kind of like buying a Volvo.

Thank you for designing a great bike and the packaging was superb. It took me about 30 minutes to put the bike together, less if I had grabbed all the tools to begin with. My wife and I are 63 and we want to wear out, instead of rust out and this bike will help us maintain our cardio and strength during the winter (and year round) so that when spring comes each year, we will be in great shape to work in our client's gardens.

Worth every penny!

I absolutely LOVE my Keiser bike! It is easy to use, doesn't take up a lot of space, and is just a beautiful and very well made piece of machinery. Couldn't be happier! Especially after the terrible experience I had with a Nordic Track Grand Tour Bike. Clearly you get what you pay for. I would 100% recommend the Keiser M3I indoor bike. I actually look forward to exercising now, which for me is NOT normal! Thank you, Keiser!

Great bike...needs more compatibility

The bike itself is awesome. Super sturdy and super quiet, making workouts possible at any time day or night without annoying others. The Bluetooth connectivity leaves something to be desired. Windows 10 will not recognize the device, so I can't make full use of the BKool simulator app unless I put it on my tiny android phone screen (kind of defeats the purpose of having terrain graphics) or buy a new tablet. Since online workouts are growing in popularity, it would be nice if the Keiser M3i would make sure it supported all the major operating systems seamlessly.

Keiser responded:

Orbital Sole,

Definitely feel your pain here, BKOOL was in need of an update due to compatibility issues with Windows 10. I'm very happy to report those were fixed in an update last month! Just delete the app and re-download it and you'll be off!

Super smooth

I haven't ridden a lot of group cycling bikes, but ridng the ones at my gym the several moths has really helped mitigate the stiffness in my arthritic knees.
I knew I needed one at home for those days when I'm to busy to make to the gym.
I chose Kaiser because of they are made in the USA and had excellent reviews, particularly for customer service.
Happy to say, I'm glad I chose the Keiser M3i. Super smooth and quiet. Very well designed and manufactured. The seat, pedals and handle bars are way more comfortable than the ones at my gym. The cycling motion is very natural feeling.

Space Age Design

Bike was easy to set up and fun to use. My 14 yr old assisted with the build. The V-shape design took a little getting used to but 1 week in and I'm rocking to YouTube videos. This is my first indoor spin bike so I can't compare its comfort to another cycle. One thing I'd recommend, however, is to add plastic washers to the 4 main mounting bolts to lift the cycle off the base, that way sweat droplets can evaporate easily or be wiped up more readily. I rode 4 days this week and noticed sweat pooling at the bolts each day, which can lead to corrosion even with diligent care. All in all, a very solid machine.

Keiser responded:

Thanks much for your suggestions Still Peddler! I've forwarded this to our engineering team.

New M3i purchase for home

Exactly what I thought I was getting. Have fell in love with these bikes in spin classes and have been wanting one for home use (so much easier with my schedule). The bike is a joy to ride, and I really like the supplied heart monitor. I really wish the Bluetooth (or whatever i connection is available) automatically hooked to more apps. I think that part is a bit oversold. But I bought the bike ultimately to ride, and that's what it superbly does. All in a small amount of space and a beautiful form factor.

Keiser responded:

Hello Keith,

Thank you for your suggestions, we definitely are making connectivity a major focus in future and want to provide as many fun options as possible! Are there any apps you have on your wish list?

Thank you,

Love my Keiser!

I have not enjoyed the BKool app that Keiser recommends. Total bomb. Hard to navigate through the app with no results. Love the Peleton app. While the bike was easy to put together there’s a lot of give in the handlebars- not a tight connection and I think there should be better descriptions on the best seat/handlebar set up
