Love the bike...it gets a 10, but electronics get an 8 out of 10
Keiser responded:
G-Man,
Thank you very much for your suggestion! While the computer will shut off after 60 seconds of inactivity, if you connect the cycle to the Keiser M Series app you can record all of your cycling data so you don't lose track of your progress. Very helpful when life comes a'calling!

Unsupported by the vast majority of sites/apps
- Impowered Betrained: So far has failed to upload my FTP test 2x and so I can't use the app since it requires an FTP test before accessing any of their guided training sessions.
- Bkool: I haven't used this much yet, but the 5 minutes I did, it gave me a warning saying that the m3i is only partially supported.
Basically, the m3i didn't follow the ANT+ bluetooth standard and so it has almost 0 support.
A few well-known apps have planned support but no timeline. The bike is pretty much worthless until then. Very disappointed.

Hi Bryan,
Thank you very much for your honest review. While connectivity is definitely something we are working on, I do have some good news for you!
First, while the Impowered apps are compatible with our cycle we recommend you consider downloading our Keiser M Series app if you want data tracking. Available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, our M Series app does everything that Impowered does: FTP tests, data tracking, guided cycling sessions, etc.,except the app was developed in-house. We've spent a lot of time trying to nail it, although as a manufacturing company by trade we appreciate any feedback we can get for the app.
BKOOL is labeled as "partially compatible" because our cycle does not change resistance automatically, we prefer our end users have the ability to set their own resistance according to their comfort and fitness level. Most...

BKOOL is labeled as "partially compatible" because our cycle does not change resistance automatically, we prefer our end users have the ability to set their own resistance according to their comfort and fitness level. Most commercial spin cycles in this category function similarly, but BKOOL will pull your exercise data from the bike and turn that into pedal speed for your digital cyclist. You have thousands of virtual trail rides, guided cycling sessions, spin classes, racing and customization options.
If you like spin classes, I can also strongly recommend the Peloton app! You'll have access to their library of on-demand and live spin classes, all on your Keiser M3i.
Feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns, I'd love to continue the conversation and get more of your feedback.
Best,

Peloton who?
and whatever biking app you want( including Peloton) you have an unbeatable setup. Beam to Apple TV, project to
A 65 inch tv and a great audio system, it just rocks!
I stayed away from peloton because their 24 inch tablet does one thing, and you know it will be obsolete in two years! Plus $40 a month for it to work at all.
An iPad you can take with you and use it for so much more.
Plus the M3I is liquid in motion. In your home, it even looks like sculpture. And the JBL tube Bluetooth speaker fits perfectly between the media tray and handle bar for awesome sound. Highly
Recommend...
The first bike I received had an issue, I have to give Keiser a standing ovation for the way they handled it. Hardware aside, I really rate a company by the way they handle problems, and I couldn't have asked for better service!
I look forward to YEARS of use from this Spin Bike!
