At the moment, I hate it

I have to say, I regret ever purchasing this bike. The list of tools required to put it together has already set me back a hundred bucks to the plus, and that's before I buy a torque wrench. You can't just buy one crowfoot, they come in sets. There is no "assembler" within an hour of where I live. How many people just happen to have 2 10- mm wrenches or a torque wrench with a four inch extension laying around. For that matter, how many people have metric tools? I don't. My favorite ... the LPS #3 heavy-duty rust inhibitor. That's pretty specific ... so exactly where does one find it, because my local hardware store certainly doesn't carry it. The video of how simple it is to put togehter is a joke. I love companies that show women...

The video of how simple it is to put togehter is a joke. I love companies that show women putting stuff together. It's just insulting. As if showing a man doing it would imply that a woman couldn't do it. Well without the tools, no one can do it. How about offering the package of tools required for assembly as an add-on/accessory? At least then, people without a garage full of tools would have a snowball's chance in hell of getting it put together before the warranty expires. I should have just bought the Pelaton, even if it is an inferior bike. At least I'd be on it by now.

Hello Ann,

This is Mike Douglass from Keiser, just wanted to touch base with you regarding the extreme difficulty you've encountered with your new Keiser M3i.

Thank you very much for your detailed review. We sincerely regret not meeting your expectations, and I want to make sure we do what we can to make it right for you.

First, you are absolutely correct: the torque wrench, crowfoot extensions and LPS Rust inhibitor are definitely not common tools, can be very difficult to find, and costly. A Keiser cycle may be a commercial quality machine with commercial requirements for assembly, but if we reasonably expect our customers to assemble our products without professional help, we need to at least make the tools available for purchase if not give them away at no charge. Had we done this, you'd likely have had no trouble with assembly and I'm very sorry our oversight...

Moving forward, Keiser is immediately sourcing a complete tool kit and moving to make it available on our website. In fact, today after reading your review, we sent our service team out to purchase a complete tool kit to gauge costs, and we would love to send you the complete kit at no cost to you. It will include the torque wrench, crowfoot extensions and LPS.

Again, I'm very sorry for your experience so far and thank you very much for your candid review. Keiser, and myself for that matter, take customer satisfaction very seriously. We are always looking to improve our customer's experiences, and I sincerely hope we can do that for you.

Please let me know if the tool kit would be helpful, and I'll get it to you within one business day. If you have any additional input, you have the full attention of the decision makers here and it would certainly be recorded. If you have any questions or concerns, you can always call my direct office line below, or send off an email.

All the best,

Awesome Bike!

A piece of cake to assemble using easy to understand instructions, high quality, quiet & smooth, simple to adjust between 5'8" & 6'2" cyclists, GREAT iOS app with LOTS of stats & graphs - I'm so glad I purchased the M3i!

Excellent for a Tall Guy.....or anyone for that matter!

I am 6'7" and 290 lbs......it is hard to find a bike that is quiet, reliable, and sturdy enough for daily use. This bike is all this and more! Very Happy with the product, glad I didn't scrimp and just bought the best!

Very, very pleased!

Bought this bike direct from Keiser -- it's the bike I take classes on at my local YMCA. It replaces a Trek bike in a Computrainer Racermate set up that I'd used for 10+ years. I use my new M3i with both BKOOL workouts (not free) and many videos from GCN that I've found on YouTube. Compared with the Racermate, this is so much simpler and so much more fun. Very well made, very precise, easy to unbox and get right on it.

Quiet and Elegant

Love the bike. It’s so quiet we can ride it while the baby sleeps nearby. No extra parts we don’t need—just simple and elegant. Looks very stylish in our family room too, tucked away in the corner. It’s something we don’t mind leaving out and it doesn’t make our house look like a gym.

Keiser responded:

Looks great, thanks for the upload Tim!

solid bike that should last a long time

My only complaint is: One of the supports that hold the small transport wheels was bent when I pulled it out of the box. I don't know if it left the manufacturer like that. It might have been caused by improper handling and transportation by the knuckleheads at UPS. Not a big deal, as I was able to bend the wheel support with a pair of vise-grips.

Keiser responded:

Hi Lance!

Thank you for your notes, and I'm sorry your bike arrived with some damage! Bending the wheel back is certainly one of the "field fixes" we employ, but remember your cycle is under warranty and that covers you for anything that happens to the bike from the time we build it to the time it reaches your front door. You can always call us at 1-800-888-7009 with any questions or concerns.

Thanks again!
