Incredible spin bike

I researched for weeks different Spin Bikes and I kept coming back to Keizer M3I. The quality of the bike, customer service and delivery is top notch. They even had an awesome local service provider that i hired to put the bike together. The ride is smooth, I utilize whatever streaming APP I choose and I am not locked in to any one particular APP. Huge savings. We Love Our Bike

Love the bike, hate the app

The bike is 5-star; best thing I’ve done for my physical and mental health in the last two years. It’s a joy to ride and a beauty to look at.

The m3 app, however, is 1-star. And the limited connectivity of the bike computer to popular data and training apps is mind-boggling (note that some of the apps listed on the list are just plain unreliable; mpaceline, for example) given the masterful engineering of the bike. Getting your data off the bike to track your rides for review and comparison is a real pain.

Thanks for your feedback OO, our recent computer upgrade makes the cycle compatible with virtually all apps in the indoor cycling world, did you have an app in mind that we can look into? Any specific feedback on the M Series app? That's an app we developed in house and we're always taking suggestions.

Thank you!

Best bike

I have used Keiser bikes in spin classes for years. They are smooth and mimic riding and real road bike. When the pandemic hit I stopped going to the gym. I’ve missed my gym classes, but am loving my personal Keiser m3i. I arrived quickly, easy to put together, and is way better than going to a 5am gym class.

Smooth ride and simple mechanical complexity

Overall an excellent indoor cycling machine. The ride is very quiet and smooth. Assembly was very easy while following their video and using the supplied tools. Package it shipped in was very secure. The individual parts were easy to handle and carry upstairs. Someone had to be home to accept delivery. I did have trouble with the app but always intended to use another app, ROUVY. The bike is not controllable but still works well for wattage, heart rate and cadence while manually adjusting resistance to simulate grades. When Keiser makes a controllable indoor cycle it will be great. The simple, smooth mechanical operation of this bike is much lower maintenance and less noise than having a road bike attached to a trainer. It also puts less wear on my road bike. I’ve used it for 30 days now and it’s very comfortable. I might replace the seat so it...

Very nice!

I bought this to replace my fluid bike trainer setup, which honestly I never much cared for. This is much easier to get on and off of due to the V shape, and is much sturdier and more adjustable as well.

I couldn't bring myself to follow the herd and get that popular bike with an attached screen and the need for a subscription not of my choice. I see no advantage to combining such different pieces of equipment like that.

So instead I bought the M3i and created a DIY setup as shown in the photo. So far I'm using the Wahoo SYSTM app from my iPad mini streaming to an Airplay-compatible LG television on a VESA tripod. I just do the open training sessions for the scenery, and might switch to another app that has more of that than structured training programs.

And that's kind of the point of DIY - I have the freedom to choose whether and what app I want to use.

Excellent Bike

Purchased as DIY peloton hack/Zwift/open platform options bike and we are very happy with purchase. Packaged well, shipped timely and assembly was simple. A few small things to note, the rubber grip that sits flush with the end of the handlebar is not sitting flush on ours, we tried pulling it down slowly but it doesn't stretch much. Also, there is a small blemish on the computer screen, slightly annoying but really not a big deal. Otherwise bike is solid, been using for two weeks so far.

Keiser responded:

Hi Chris,

If you can send a picture of the blemishes with your bike our service department can take a look and see what we can do about that. Customers shouldn't have to live with a bike that doesn't meet their expectations.

You can send the pictures to service@keiser.com, if you have any other questions please don't hesitate to check in.
