We have completed several workouts. I suffer from a lower back injury and was encouraged by my doctor to find a new and low impact exercise and suggested a bike. Several bike reviews later, I found one that led me to the Keiser bike and then I saw this strider! We never considered a home elliptical (our preferred cardio workout at the gym) because they are typically too big. This one is perfectly sized for our bedroom / "covid era" workout area.
The M5i runs very quietly; I have had to tighten the bolts on the handlebar (moving) assembly a few times to eliminate some squeaks from loose bolts. The resistance levels offer a great range for the kind of workout desired. The polar monitor strap is nice and works with the Keiser app I have downloaded and used to track my workouts. Initially, I found the heartbeat data very erratic. But then I tried soaking the strap with water vs. lightly wetting -- the accuracy of the heartbeat improved considerably; however, now, the heartbeat works for the beginning of the workout but then goes to zero. Several workouts have saved as "incomplete". I am wondering if that ties to the heartrate data not being complete? I need to further troubleshoot…
The media tray fits my work or personal laptops, my ipad or my phone. I have been on work calls while on the strider doing a workout. That is AWESOME, actually. My wife is 5' 3" and I am 5' 7". She would prefer the tray a little lower, but we cannot adjust that direction. Overall, though, we are both very pleased.

Imagine being able to use an elliptical outside at sunrise....

Pros - compact, not outlet needed (mobile), hardly any noise; its a workout.
It's home is in my bedroom, but I have rolled it out to the living room and watched Five Nations Rugby to squeeze in a work out. The only sound it makes I think is the magnet and belt (I hope)which is hardly noticeable; and the space taken up is not much more than my recliner. Since there is no need to plug into an outlet, I have rolled it outside a couple of times on nice mornings to my back patio. It will work you. As stated the stance is not the same as an everyday elliptical, I felt things all over my body within the first 15 mins (legs, core, back and arms). I did...

I did not realize how hard that magnet would make me work!
Cons, well one is shipping cost. However it does come assembled (note, right here in the USA!)and people have commented it looks like a piece of art vs. workout equipment. So its a tradeoff I guess. Some might say price, but again assembled in USA. And this thing is solid, I mean great materials and assembly.
If looking for a great piece of home equipment, and want to even move it from place to place without having to think about a power outlet or limiting where you workout, you need this!
Now I am saving up my pennies for a bike, but hope by that time they have the same option as shipping assembled...
