Manufacturing Engineer - 07/27/2023

We are currently looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to be responsible for running and maintaining daily processes, as well as seeking to continually improve by finding ways to refine quality and efficiency, in order to produce a better product and reduce costs. The Manufacturing Engineer identifies, implements, monitors, and reports on the impact of continuous improvement ideas that utilize LEAN manufacturing principles.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works with manufacturing supervisors and other engineers in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods by utilizing knowledge of product design, raw materials, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards
- Participates in the process of identifying and qualifying new production equipment and systems
- Investigates production problems and recommends improvements
- Supervises technical staff, including the maintenance department and tooling shop
- Works with the safety supervisor to perform hazard analysis on new equipment and systems to insure safe working conditions
- Evaluates quality control processes and makes recommendations for improvements
- Analyzes production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to understand future production requirements needed for the manufacturing process, in order to assist management in decision making
- Ensures the company's manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations
- Analyzes and plans workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency
- Coordinates equipment maintenance and repair services, and ensures the manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational
Tooling Engineer - 06/21/2023

We are currently looking for an experienced Tooling Engineer. The Tooling Engineer’s responsibilities include creating and adjusting tools or parts for equipment and other components, using computer-aided (CAD) manufacturing. This might include designing and building tools from scratch, or improving/adjusting/rebuilding existing tools. Tooling Engineers may work with mechanical or computer-operated equipment. They must be technically inclined and be able to properly utilize tools and machinery.
This position may be a temp-to-hire using a third-party agency. Employees are evaluated after 90 days and offered a position with the company if they are meeting expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop composite molds and assembly fixtures to support prototyping
- Design and manage the fabrication of components and fixtures
- Select the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used
- Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform to predetermined specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area, and comply with safety standards and regulations
- Assist with the improvement and refinement of tooled pieces and tooling processes
- Work with QC, engineering, and other departments to communicate challenges and requirements
Prototyping and Testing Fabricator - 06/21/2023

We are currently looking for an experienced Prototyping and Testing Fabricator to be responsible for the overall construction and maintenance of testing machines and prototypes in the engineering department. The ideal candidate works well within a diverse team while also being able to operate independently and deliver projects on time and to specification. This candidate should have related manufacturing experience, and be a diligent, determined performer who thinks outside the box in order to help us find better and more efficient ways to manufacture our products.

- Produce test machines to engineering specifications and monitor and maintain test machines throughout the life cycle
- Ability to build custom prototypes from limited information and work with engineering on construction and iterations not only with speed but also with accuracy
- Preparation and fabrication of parts to engineering specifications using lathes, mills, welders, grinders, CNC, and hand tools
